Engines

Choose from three engines when equipping the 2020 Super Duty® trucks. These powertrains are the new 7.3L V8, an updated 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel, and the tried and true 6.2L V8.

From the brand-new 7.3L V8 engine, you can expect more torque, horsepower, and capabilities than the 6.2L V8 but less of all three specs than the 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel. Basically, this engine is designed to be the happy medium between the two extremes.

Transmission

Every engine that can be equipped to a 2020 Super Duty® truck will be paired with 10-speed TorqShift® with SelectShift® transmission, really giving this truck's performance a boost. The larger transmission gives torque a bump, lowers emissions, and refines shift execution and drive ratios.

Safety

A staggering array of driver assist technologies are equipped to the latest Super Duty® trucks. Pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking can lower the risks of challenging driving situations by sounding and flashing an alert and taking over the braking from you. A 360-degree camera system utilizes images from four different cameras placed strategically, providing a seamless view of every angle. Additionally, a lane-keeping alert, adaptive cruise control, LED headlights, and new daytime running lights were built in for maximum peace of mind.

There are also specific systems designed with towing in mind. View when a vehicle is in your blind spot through BLIS® with Cross Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage with trailer reverse guidance technology. The Pro-Trailer Backup Assist™ will work not only with conventional towing, but also both gooseneck and fifth wheel towing setups. This system allows you to twist a knob right or left depending on which way you want your trailer to go.

These systems include: FordPass™ Connect with a Wi-Fi® hotspot that can link to up to ten devices, Ford Telematics™ fleet information management, and USB-C ports for charging smart devices.
